ABOUT THE SCHOOL

kIDZEE & SUNSHINE HIGH SCHOOL

Kidzee & Sunshine High School was established in 2007 and it is managed by the Pvt. Unaided. It is located in Rural area in Margherita block of Tinsukia district of Assam. The school consists of Grades from 1 to 10. The school is Co-educational and have an attached pre-primary section. English is the primary medium of instructions in this school. This school is approachable by all weather road. In this school academic session starts in April. It has got 10 classrooms for instructional purposes.  It has 2 other rooms for non-teaching activities. The school has a large playground. The school library has around 800 books. The school does not need ramp for disabled children to access classrooms.

We committed ourselves to this task in 2003, when we introduced the Kidzee play school to Margherita. Till date, a lot many children have made their journey happily with us.

In 2007, we introduced Sunshine High, and we called it "a building with four walls and a future inside".

We continue to develop child friendly curriculum and a child safe environment. Your children get every opportunity to discover themselves.

We do not push our students into the rat race of "performance". We take great care to give them the space to learn at their own pace and we keep their learning experiences relevant to and respectful of their cultural and familial background.

At Sunshine High Margherita, it is our belief that your child has unique potential. We have tailoured our course such that it gives your children every opportunity to explore and discover their innate abilities.

We call this learning process "Illume". It is not about how good your child is. It is about how and where your child is good. This is the driving force of Illume. We lay before our students diverse pathways, visuals, auditory, aesthetic, interpersonal and intrapersonal. In doing so, our students grow at their own pace and learn HOW to think rather than WHAT to think.

Illume believes that one style does not fit all. Hence, we donot expect our children to follow a rigid method of instructions. Rather, we place them in the centre of the learning process. There is no pressure on your child.

Tests are not everything we give our students. Our assessment is more an observation, an ongoing process that we engage in everyday.

Every year our teachers take 80 hours of special training, including refresher courses and introductory sessions, about the advancements in the field of teaching and child care. Teachers attend seminars and present papers too.
